Hello everyone :)
I'm new to BYC (been stalking for a few months though!)
Boyfriend and I are UNR students and new to urban homesteading.

2seth2,
Where is that poultry swap going on?

I have a few chickens I'm going to downsize from if anyone is interested in them please let me know. It's mainly my hatchery ones from 3/11. They're free and I give feed with them.

Welcome blondeNchicken!

Anyone live in Lyon county? Can't find any written ordinances for chickens. We live on five acres that's zoned for horses...neighbors have chickens all around us, so with Roos.....so I took that as a sign I should have 30+ chickens. Lol! Couldn't help it...darn chicken math struck again. :)

Not Lyon County but I'm next door to you in Churchill County. When we were looking at property either there or here, I think I remember finding an ordinance where the only restriction was that however many you have, that they couldn't be overcrowded. I liked that a lot!
