I agree, laceynoelle is right. I've hatched eggs out of a homemade, still air incubator (made with cardboard boxes and newspaper) and it is a lot of fun! I used a light bulb for heat and an oven/meat thermometer with an alarm on it to let me know when it got too hot (I got so I could lift the lid in my sleep, with my big toe, when that alarm went off). I turned them by hand three times a day and I still had 9 out of 12 hatch!
If I can get them to hatch in that contraption I'm sure you would have good luck with a real 'bator vegaschick. I just have a lot better luck with eggs that I've picked up. Although ke_ben hasn't had any problems with shipped eggs.
