Gary informed me last night that ALL this time, I have been calling Flrpl the wrong name and spelling it incorrectly also - it should be (or should have been) Frpl. But I have been adding the other L for so long, I am going to keep his name Flrpl.

(If ya all do not know by now - spelling is not my "thing"

Jeepers - my ducks are a mess also! Went from 27 this spring down to 6 for winter and am thinking about slimming that down even more! Every waterer, they have to bathe in - or stick something, dirt, hay, shavings into to try and make soup. Plus they are so wet when they poop - just adds moisture to the coop. Course I never planned on them being in the coop - the Owl changed that.

I also hatch EE and Bantam Cochins. In Cochins I have both Mille Fluer and Silver Laced. My EE are heavily influenced by Orpington, in fact

I am crossing an Americauna from APA parents over my parial English Black Orpingtons - trying to increase the body size and fluff amount on the my EEs.

Ha, ha. I can relate! In my Spanish classes my professor was frustrated with my sentence structure. He said my pronunciation was fantastic and my vocabulary was great (well back then it was) but my sentence structure "stunk!" (not the word he used but this is a family forum). He asked why couldn't I take the rules of English and just reverse them? I replied "Ah, there's the problem!"

BTW I like the name Flrpl!

Oh Nikki!!! I would be interested in buying several polish day olds! I have been considering raising baby silkies to sell as pullets and cockeralls, but if I did it with polish cresteds, then markie might let me choose my favorite and keep one! ( polish are his favorite breed). Is that weird?? Do other people buy day olds to sell? I really miss having chicks but don't have space for a mass ammount of hens

I love those pictures! I just finally introduced the rest of the my babies into the flock full time yesterday. In a way it is sad that there are no more little peeps out in the coop but I am very glad that I have the rest of the winter to relax and not stress out as much. Over all I bought 34 and only I lost 5. Not a bad ratio for sure.

I put up some new pictures up on my page for the chickens, the coop, and the babies if anyone is interested. I am really glad that I did not sell off those polish group now that I know there are so many ppl interested in them. If you could send me a PM on everyone that is interested let me know what type you would like added into your batch out of the BO's, GLW, SLW, Black Sex-links and WCB Polish I can add you to the top of the list so that I know who gets what. Mary Ellen gave me this amazing spreadsheet that keeps track of all of that stuff for me.

If I could find a Black Australorp Rooster I would add them to bunch but we'll see what happens. Also let me know if you just want the eggs to hatch yourself or if you want day old chicks.

I was thinking of getting a brooder by all of my hens even the roosters are so broody that I think it would most likely be a waste of money. *LOL*

I am now Duckless! I met a woman who lives in Crescent Valley and she took Puff and Brock, my Pekin and Blue Swedish, respectably! I am back to 10 chickens. This spring, we will fill in the hole from the kiddie pool. Now, does anyone wanna try and get me on Turkeys, for spring? lol

Dang SunnyDawn! I wanted to post the first Christmas Message on the thread! lol

Merry Christmas Nevadans, Merry Christmas to all BYCers! From my Flock to Yours, have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season! My hens cannot wait for their presents! I got them some seed blocks to snack on!
