Hi everyone from Sunny Florida. What's this I hear from my DH? Snow is coming in a couple of days? Ouch! I won't tease anyone with pics of me at the ocean then.

thanks for the comments on the photos! I was up until 1:30 sunday night making laila's unicorn costume. Her comment in the morning, "Oh, I thought it would be even more beautiful than that."

nice back-handed compliment from a 4-year old. i'm not sure what she expected but I thought it came out good.

the chicks are doing great out in the coop. i'm so happy to have them out of the house and in their nice new space. I started cleaning up my office. So very very dusty! please remind me of that if I mention brooding chicks in there next time!

sheryl, enjoy that sun and warmth while you can!

aubrey, so exciting that your chicks will be here soon!

Yep, been there before. Work forever on a costume then it's "Oh I can't wear it it's too hot/cold/heavy". Take heart though, now they remember them fondly and want me to continue the tradition with their kids (sorry, no energy left for 4 costumes in 2 days any more)! LOL. I even heard my youngest son (20yo now) bragging about the Dementor costume I made for him in 6th grade. Apparently it was amazing but I seem to recall non stop complaints about the difficulties of skating in a long hooded cloak and how hard it was to man age the large hood! This folllowed a week long frenzy of cutting and sewing including adding wire to all hems to give the illusion he was floating from door to door. So take heart, memories will be much kinder.

Glad to hear the chickies love their new home!

Yea Aubrey!!! And, thanks to me no worries about Marc's reaction to so many chicks!

Tyler!!!

To bad you couldn't of lied to him though. I'll teach you all I know at APA.

Thanks. I can't wait for Trent to get home now and have him back in my barn.

well I DID tell him I ordered 12 chicks right up front. I just didnt tell him what kinds, lol. And I did have to warn him that there is a huge possibility of them throing extras in there haha. Has anyone ever ordered from ideal and gotten extras?

lol! Go ahead. We can take it. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Nature/winter-015.gif

No I can't.

My internet was out for a couple days. PM me for a funny story.

Trent got Second place Senior Buck out of 7 American Sable Senior bucks.
Which is great as he's from the first litter of rabbits I've ever had.

congrats on a good showing for Trent!

aubrey, i ordered 25 chicks from ideal so I wouldn't get any males for warmth and have to deal with that. But I did order in Sept so I think they probably wouldn't have added any at that time of year anyway since it was still warm. I bet at this time of year you will probably get the extras. I guess you'll find out soon!

sunny, good to know that the memories of my homemade costumes will be fond! I have hope! She did like it but fussed about it falling off her head, etc. That dementor costume sounds cool! love harry potter. My kids call him "harry pasta" because laila came up with that little joke all on her own when she was 2. They haven't seen the movies or read the books yet, of course, but they've heard jose and i talking about it.

Lol, everyone's pics and stories are so cute!!

Tyler, congrats!
Aubrey, when I got chicks from ideal, I dont remember how many I ordered, but they sent six or seven extra chicks. They turned out to be GLW roos.

My life took a complicated turn today. First, the one of the employees at ToysRus got me sooo sick. It's insane, I've been in bed for two days. Second, I quit my temp job at ToysRus and accepted a full time job at Zullily. The pay is less by almost two dollars, but they were going to lay me off in two months, whereas Zullily will keep me on. You shoulda seen my mom's face when I told her I quit after a couple days. She freaked, but now shes alright with it. I feel bad for quiting so soon, but I had to ask myself what was best for me.
