glad you found us! I may have a couple australorp pullets to sell in late Feb/early March, if you're interested. They will start laying about then. I have 25 9 week old chicks--6 of which are australorps. I will keep a few but would like to sell some to make room for some different breeds. They are from ideal hatchery. Anyway, good luck with your flock expansion plans!

very cool! I have 14 chicks in my grow-out room right now so making space for them is always nice. They are a week and a half old right now so they will need to be under heat still and they are from ideal hatchery so i honestly have no idea what quality they will be when they grow up. What I do know is that silkies are infamous for being the most docile breed ever! Theyre free if ya want em

I work a swing schedule so just check with me whenever you wanna come get em and ill let you know what my schedule is like

You might want an older pullet then. The marans seem to go through a flighty phase at a few weeks of age then mellow out after that. Although I did have one marans hen once that was a little grumpy (when brooding anyway) even when she was older.

But if that happened we would just let you exchange her for a mellow girl.

I just realized that in spring I am adding about 50 birds to my flock and they are all from BYCers!!! (so far anyway)
