Got to visit with Sunny, Steve and Karen for a little while. They left to pick up more chicks and try to beat the weather, so they missed out on a great lunch, Karen's daughter made. They had 2 boxws of chicks from me and eggs from both of us, so if there wasn't enough OEs there are eggs. Was so good to see them. Wish they were closer. Anyway, the California chicks are Reno bound.

I go to the ortho surgeon this week and I think there's a second break, so need to get it checked out asap.

Sunny got a couple of Karen's prize winning eggs, so I hope they hatch for her. My girls are much older and just starting back to laying, so my egg color next to Karen's was pathetic. LOL That's okay. My girls were laying 8's when I got them and 6
s and 7's ;ast year. I have a lot of faith in anything lay now and I hatch out producing some really dark eggs later. The olive eggs I sent with her are getting faded out, but they should hatch out some nice Olive layers.

ohhh looks comfy! were still dealing with the insurance companies. They might buy her new furniture! were crossing our fingers on that one. for now were focusing on getting her rent back so she can get an apartment, were at full house capacity right now and just cannot possible store ANYTHING, haha. honestly think when she finds a place she will be okay without stuff for a while, shes just that kinda gal. Im kind of reeling with the fact that weve been looking for someone who has a truck for a couple of days now and we now realize that we dont know anyone who doesnt drive a car or a scooter, lol!

We don't have a pickup, but we have a GMC Yukon. It would be a problem with anything tall like mattresses, or longer than 6 feet, but I can come out and help with bulk stuff.

I hope Sunny does check-in when she gets home but I'm sure she'll be tired and busy watching fuzz butts!

Daniel - forgot to say congrats on your new layer. We have 9 out of 10 laying right now, Monique has taken the most time off so far but she's getting ready to lay again. She's going into the coop everyday and eating a bit of oyster shell but not really a lot compared to everyone else.

Okay, if you don't want your drake to eat blue eggs then you need to get him out of the coop. Found this out the hard way, Justin has eating 3 of Sundae's eggs now. For some unknown reason he thinks blue eggs do not belong in the nest boxes so he eats them, shell and all. I thought perhaps Sundae's eggs were getting broken and they were eating them but noooooo I found out a few days ago it's my drake checking everyone's eggs out and he does not like the blue ones.

They will be getting their own area and house in a bit so hopefully John will get to it sooner than he planned?

I'm still thinking if I should take the job or not. I really feel I don't want to but there's this little tiny bug in my head telling me to take it. John would like me to go back as well but he said it's up to me if I do. We don't fight or have stress over money at all, so I don't need to worry about that. I love how busy the job is. I won't get bored there ever. The hours suck so much and the days off are not what I like at all so I really don't think I'm going to take it. It's up to the Director to come to me and talk to me about it. But I'm pretty sure I won't be going back.

I had to stay up late tonight because I decided to make some sourdough bread. I have my starter going all of the time and thought it would be good for me to make some bread and think what I want to do. My small finger hangs down below my hand now and it actually hurts to use it so I think I should go ahead and get the surgery done this year, which is also why I don't think I should go back to my old job.

I think you need to take care of you first. Hard to work and have to take time out to get personal things taken care of. Plus, you don't sound like you'd be hapy. If it isn't a job neccessary to survive, then wait till it's one you're happy with.

I'm still looking for a place. That too is something I want to be happy about. So many things have changed since Bill died and I know I still have to make drastic changes in what I want and can have now. I'm just hunting and trying to wait until I find something that fits me. But trying to figure that out is like trying to figure out who Me is now. Somethings out there someplace. I do know after this week, I wouldn't have held together too far from my kids. They may not be here, but they can get here, if that makes sense.
