Hello,
Thank you! We are limited on space because of the 1/2 acre and the horses, 1/3 of our property is an arena, then the side
without the cranky neighbors has the horses. They hate horses, nothing they can do, but complain about dust etc etc... although we clean once a day if not twice, and will keep the coop clean.
I have lots of space on the crank neighbor side. We have a spot that will require a bit of work for the coop has it was going to be another raised garden area, currently has compost and manure, closer to the neighbor but not right next door. We have dogs and I believe they are going to be our biggest issue as they like to catch rabbits, birds, and squirrels. I am hoping they will get used to them being in there in their coop and eventually become a non issue. (heres to hoping) I will use electric fence on the outside of the coop to keep our dogs away. Our cats don't go in the back yard because of the dogs, as most other creatures... night time could be different because dogs are inside. We will have a completely covered "run" area for them so they are safe. We ordered 25 from MM and they will arrive at the Vassar Post Office Monday

Our brooder is ready... just to build the coop now.
We ordered:
Barred Rock
Light Brahma's
Buff Rock
Rhode Islands
I have been lurking and trying to learn, I think maybe over think the whole thing sometimes. Nonetheless excited for this adventure with our hens.
