Yeah.... I've always thought it was kinda sucky that they don't have 4H for adults.

Thanks everyone for the b-day wishes.
I didn't feel any older today until half way into my three hour ride with my best friend.

I have a feed sack for you Missy but I can't get into Reno.

Chicks are all fluffed up and cute now. 13 of the 14 hatched. All but one of the chicks are buff x wheaten. I got fooled and thought I was setting eggs from my splash wheaten, but unknown to me, one of the buffs lays a pretty blue egg! The chicks with the dark stripe on their heads are from the blue, egg laying buff hen.

Well, so much for hatching out some wheatens for you.

I plan to set some eggs from my two best hens (splash and blue wheaten) in the near future and they will be the ONLY ones in the pen so there will be no more mistakes!

I think Sunny better come get her chicks pronto because I am falling in love with all of them!

This is a very mellow, sweet bunch of babies.

Lol it's ok. We had a higher survival rate here at the flock than I expected. I can't say the same for egg production, but I guess we'll have to see how that turns out.

Thank you. Yeah after I had my cheese cake I went out and practiced roping my new calf head I got for my birthday.
