It's looking like I have 3 lav pullets. I was suspicious of one but I'm not seeing further signs so I'm thinking we might be safe. the chicks from you and Kirstie are soooo friendly. I had 7 of them fly up on my lap and shoulders all at once the other day.
You, order too much? I couldn't believe that!![]()

Speaking of chickens, can I have you bottle up some of your water, so I can feed it to my chicks? There's something in my water that turns all my favorite chicks into cockerels. It's not the soil, because Burger never went outside. Maybe if I give some of your water to my cream brabanter, it will be a guaranteed pullet. I keep watching her face for any redness, since the feathers usually don't give any indication of gender until later. Or maybe there was some voodoo curse put on this property by the enemy of a previous chicken owner. May all the favored chickens of this property turn into cockerels!
I'm glad I only need to plant the outer cloves of this garlic. We get to try Georgian Fire this year, instead of next. Plus, I've heard spring garlic is wonderful to cook with.
We probably won't be going to the swap. Sunday is our wedding anniversary, so I'll probably be doing something with my husband that's not related to chickens or gardens. 6 years ago he took on me and my kids, knowing full well what he was getting into, so I can give him a day that doesn't rotate around my semi-fanatical hobbies.
