Nevadans?

Did someone mention chocolate covered bananas? Such a pleasant memory for me, too, but on the Jersey coast.

Sunny, I must not have been paying attention, because I missed the part about you moving. Where are you going this time?
Haha! The last time I had a chocolate covered banana was with you at Old Town Sacramento!!! Mmmmm it was sooo good. We had such a good time with you and Tim! I love Old Town!!! Next time we have to take one of those cheesy old time photos though. I love those things!

We are just moving a mile south of where we live now. This house is on the market (they are short selling it) and I am sick of having strangers traipse through my home for showings! So when this new place came up we asked to be released from our lease early and they finally agreed. We were very relieved since rentals up here are very few and far between. It is so close to Steve's work up here that we would have a very hard time going back to town and facing a long commute again.
Quote: Nope. I wanted to know what flavor of ice cream you wanted plus I wanted to know if we are still walking tomorrow (I have my priorities). I am trying very hard right now to not go into panic mode about the move. I should have been calling about that though! I need to be sure we will have a couple of crates still to move birds. I can use boxes though.

We went to Balboa the Christmas before last, for my granny's 99th. My aunt rented a bus because there's so many of us. Then we rented surreys and peddled all over, even took them on the ferry! We had a blast, just like when we were all kids! My aunt had a house there when we were kids so we spent a lot of time there. It's still a very safe feeling place.

I love how quick I can fly down to Southern CA and be with all the family.
OMG That sounds like a fantastic trip!!! I would LOVE to do that!!! The last time we went was when Nate turned 9 and Kevin turned 15. We took them to Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and Balboa Island. Of course they got drug around to the areas I remember we hung out at when I was a kid too. The city I was born in, the beaches, the reptile farm, stuff like that.
Quote: LOL!!! More converts! Now I like them with or without nuts but only because I can get almonds or cashews instead of peanuts.

Thank you!!!! Mom is doing well! She is having a really strange allergic reaction to the bandages they had on her but other than that she gets to eat BLENDED foods now! (yum!) so shes excited about that haha

sorry guys, i am the only person on this site that still doesnt know how to do multi-quotes, haha

I think the reaction to the bandage is common. When I was in the hospital for my back surgery I mentioned that I felt itchy and the nurse was frantically checking all my bandages! She said reactions to the glue on the bandages was very common. I'm glad she's doing well besides that and having to limit to a non-gourmet liquid diet. I have a friend who had that surgery years ago and is still thin.

hecka sounds like a roo. actually looking at the second pic he looks like a roo to me too.

I'll have to pass this time then.

Steve and I will be frantically preparing for the move by then (just like tonight). We are at the stage where most of the dishes and kitchen stuff is put away so not much cooking going on here.
What did y'all have for dinner? I'm living vacariously through you til we get settled in the new place. I had canned spinach and garlic bread. Exciting huh?

Not even real garlic bread. Just heated a little in the microwave and dipped in butter and garlic that was also nuked.

Well nobody here but Tyler and I and he may be asleep at the computer so I'm off to bed. Good night all! zzzzzzzz

Anyway... Good luck on the job if that is what you want! I think you are worth more than they are paying you but you have to decide if any job is better than none.

Well, the bad news is I didn't get the job, the worse news is John and I have been knocked down by $10,000 a year now. I was so hoping for the new job so I wouldn't get knocked down but it wasn't meant to be. I really don't know how anyone can survive these days unless you make really good money. We were just talking about how much we made when we lived in California verses what we are making right now. If you take inflation in account we should be making $2,000 a week compared to then. I wished the pay went up with inflation like it once did.

We can't keep going downhill but there isn't an option to it. I don't know how much more we can conserve or get rid of. If you don't see me on here anymore it would be from getting rid of the internet and cable next. We don't have any bills except utilities.
