Have you picked her up and checked her feet? Feel her hock joint, or any other joint in her leg, and see if it is hot? She may have twisted a joint or maybe has bumblefoot or a broken toe?
If you find heat in a joint, you can help her out with blueberries. They have natural aspirin in them. Getting her to try them will be the hardest part because of how dark they are... but once she tries them there will be no turning back!I keep them in my freezer and thaw out about a tablespoon or so for a large fowl. You'll probably have to separate her to give them to her because the other girls will want them too once they see her eating them. Though I'm not against giving them yummy treats like that, they're a bit pricey and the only time my birds get blueberries is if someone is in pain.![]()
Hope she recovers soon.
Sunny was over here when I noticed her limping, and she and I both couldn't find anything wrong. She's getting around just fine, and won the fish war, so she's not too bad. But it's day 3 and I was hoping she'd be all better by now.
Blueberries are on sale right now, and I was going to get more to put in the freezer, anyway. And Original will try just about anything. Thanks for the advice!
