Nevadans?

oh, man, I'm so jealous! Do you get the plums, peaches, and pears from your own trees or do you buy them? They look so delicious!

I'm in kind of an exchange group of sorts. I give vegetables and eggs to friends, who load me down with fruit from their trees. The plums are from my trees... I live in the old Southwest area, which has so many fruit trees! If I bought all the fruit I've canned this year, I'd be broke. Well... I bought some of it... before I realized how much would come my way from people's trees.

Pam, are you going to be a spectator at Tough Mudder? My husband is competing, and I have a spectator ticket. I'm hiring a friend's daughter to come count chickens while we're up there.

We would love to but we're babysitting the kids. If I would have thought about it sooner we would have planned better and saved to go up for the night. I'm hoping that someday I'm in good enough shape to do it myself!

What day is your husband doing it? My kids are doing it on Saturday. I think there's only 2 girls in their group and all the guys are firefighters.
Here's a picture of my daughter and her family. Maybe you'll see her, their group is called The Donnar Party!

Lol love the name! I think it's only going on Saturday? I forget my husband's group's name, but he was smart and proposed it to his boss. The boss decided to pay for all participants! He asked me to do it, but then I started with the chicks and the gardens, and suddenly working out was not a priority. I am NOT in good enough shape to do it this year. So I'll just watch with nitroglycerine in my hand. He says he'll skip the one with the ice water, though.

It's an obstacle course/race. Teams get together and run this course but there are obstacles in the way such as climbing things and going under things and lots of mud!

LMOST COMPLETE!!!! just got a few odds n ends to do, then we have to install a pop door and another vent then we will have a backyard for ourselves! What you see here is where our future garden and lawn will be, hooray! Also a friend gave us six sheets of this weird metal stuff for free and it really came in handy for fencing off the deck! Really really REALLY excited. Mark is even gonna put an outlet in the coop so we can get rid of the extension cords. We're even thinking about putting up some spray insulation and plywood inside. It all coming together!
