Ive heard the chafing is a big deal. There's been a lot of discussion on what they're going to wear because of the chafing.Quote:
Lol, just a little! I have one friend who refused to join up because he didn't want to chafe as he ran wet. The electricity didn't scare him, but chafing did!
Yeah! They must have taken your threats seriously!my showgirl is laying like a champ i mean more than my prodution red![]()
Yeah I've had very young pullets go broody. The rarely stick to it though. One of my silkies was spending time on the nest this afternoon. She was trying to do an egg song and sounded pretty funny. Luckily it's not too loud. I didn't find an egg there yet but she's close. My Buff x wheaten was still on one of the straw nests (under the nest box) when it was bed time. could she be broody already? my australorps seem to have given up the broodiness now.
Oh, I love google chrome! glad you found a solution.
My buff x wheaten has been broody for over a week.
Wooohooo I got the pears done yesterday. Today I stewed plums off the pits, dehydrated half of the leftover pears, put green beans in the freezer, and made peach butter and plum jam.
Oh how cute! I love them!...
Sunny, glad you figured it out and that Google Chrome is working for you!
Those of you who are feeling punky......hope everyone feels better soon. Maybe this will cheer you up! We have all 5 of the grandkids this weekend (my daughter and her husband are doing Tough Mudder) so I thought they'd like to make these. I'm going to take them to a Halloween party too.![]()

Now that is just irritating! I posted the rules for Reno when BYC first asked for help a couple of years ago and no one else was signed up to cover Reno's laws. That info is certainly not what I posted!!!Does anyone know about this...
I was linking to the BYC page about chicken ordinances on a new Facebook page I'm working on, and I just noticed that Reno's laws say roosters aren't allowed. The last time I checked this link, it said they were. Does anyone know why it changed on the site?

WOW! It looks awesome!!!ALMOST COMPLETE!!!! just got a few odds n ends to do, then we have to install a pop door and another vent then we will have a backyard for ourselves! What you see here is where our future garden and lawn will be, hooray!
Also a friend gave us six sheets of this weird metal stuff for free and it really came in handy for fencing off the deck!
Really really REALLY excited. Mark is even gonna put an outlet in the coop so we can get rid of the extension cords. We're even thinking about putting up some spray insulation and plywood inside. It all coming together!
HEY!!! Chaffing is a real thing! Went to Hawaii a few years back with Steve and the kids. We hiked up to some waterfalls through a huge bamboo forest (an amazing hike BTW) and it rained for most of the hike. I had a blast but later the chaffing thing got so horribly irritating I ended up stripping in the car under a beach towel! We couldn't find a restroom to change in and, oh MAN does it get bad after a while!Lol, just a little! I have one friend who refused to join up because he didn't want to chafe as he ran wet. The electricity didn't scare him, but chafing did!
