Never seem to grow chick

Hi, He may be OK.
I have a little Brahma roo. who is 6 weeks old and has only a few wing feathers. He is smaller than the others but is vigorous and healthy otherwise.
A few hatches back I had a Brahma roo. who did the same, and BOY should you see the size of him now!

Good Luck,

Sandie

I have a chick with the same problem. She is about 7 weeks old and still looks like a week old. The thing is if it is failure to thrive would the chicke be acting happy and normal with a seemingly good appetitie? Also I posted pics over a week ago called the incredible shrinking chicken. We should stay in touch to see what happens to our chickens so we can help other people. feel free to pm me.

Well....I don't feel so bad now. Today I notice the wings get longer. He seems to be doing fine with good appetite. I am going to give him away eventually because he is a rooster. He has a red comb.

I have 2 silkie chicks that I bought from breeder stock that are around the same age as my home hatched pet quality chicks...and the 2 'from breeder' line chicks are about a week older but are probably still at the developmental stage of a 3-4 week old chick compared to the other chicks whom are on schedule at 7 weeks. its nuts but some just take forever to catch up
