Yeah, nail guns are fun. Ours is really heavy, though, so my arm is dead by the end of the day. We're past the nail gun, now, and using the cordless drills to attach the plywood and trim. Same end result - arms are dead.
ONE PEN IS OCCUPIED!
I've got the Silkies in one pen, and they are loving it so far. It does not have nest boxes yet, and the door to the run-to-be has not been cut out yet. These are early March babies, so they're not quite old enough to be outside 100% of the time yet. So, here's what we have so far...
First the 2" foamboard insulation...
Then the plywood...
4' tall dividers (plywood) and the wired door are added to each pen.
Silkie corner...
I'm finishing the insulation and plywood, then hopefully this weekend hubby will help me drywall the brooder/quail room and seal it in. Still a lot of work to go, but having the Silkies out of the garage will help me figure out who's still crowing. I recognize the Millie's crowing, but there's someone else in there now...
