new baby questions???

well that sucks! Mine have been lating, I get 2 a day as of now, they cry when they're laying, which is kind of sad...their eggs aren't too big though I was thinking maybe it's just because they've just started laying and it hurts ...I got one that was bigger than the rest and when I cracked it into the pan it had 2 yolks, that was fun...I had been trying to save them so I could make some pickled eggs as I've heard they are yummy, but my 2 year old just can't leave them alone...guess they're just too cute!

Today I went in to collect eggs and say hi to my bird friends..I've been getting 3 eggs a day...today there were 4 regular sized ones...and 1 really teenie one!! I saw a post here on BYC that they are called fart eggs, but my question is This...I thought I had 4 girls and 1 boy...if he is a boy I haven't heard him crow, so could this an he is actually a she, and if not does that mean one girl layed two eggs???

It is possible that a quail can lay 2 eggs in less than 24 hours. But you could also have misidentified your roo. You can try posting a good picture of his chest, maybe someone will be able to tell.

They had him in with the males at the feed store and he was so pretty (pix do him no justice) I had to have him but I guess if I HAVE to I'll go get another Roo
