New baby White Layers

I think they will be better by tomorrow. Please show us again tomorrow or the next day.they are a bit clumsy but give it time.

I only came here to post this thread because I was excited that my babies were alive and breathing and yes I did feel guilty that I took them out of the egg too soon. I realize my mistake. I don't need to be told I took them out too soon and made to feel worse.

I have spent minute after minute after hour nonstop watching over them, making sure they are breathing, hoping they wont die. It's been exhausting. They are alive and walking, eating and drinking now though, although a little clumsy still.

I have 9 ducks, 7 of which I've hatched myself. I only came here for some support from what I thought might be people I have something in common with but even now I don't fit into this society. Hence living with ducks and not people, as I don't get along or understand your ways.

We're packing our bags, they called.

Awww they are so precious! Thanks for reposting the video. I'm glad to hear they're doing better. You're a good duck parent - even if it is exhausting. :D As long as they can find their way to food and water and not fall into the water (drown), they'll be fine. Please don't give up on BYC yet b/c of one bad experience. There is lots of good info and great BYCers here. At least 2 of my ducks wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for the wonderful support here. :hugs

I think they are doing great. Only one problem I see is the open water container even though shallow I'd put the top on it so they don't have full access at the stage they are now they really could drown. Sounds hard to believe but it's true.

They really are doing great bless your heart for sticking right there with them making sure they have a good start.

If they did hatch a little early, you might try putting some poultry vitamins in their water for an extra boost. I love love love Pekins. They are adorable. Everyone of us here have done something with good intentions to our ducks that didn’t have a good outcome. So we are all in the same boat.... just keep swimming...... just keep swimming :gig
