New Brahma Group: Blue Partridge x Partridge, Plus Dark

Pics
Thought you'd enjoy this short clip today. And I candled Brandy's eggs. She has six on Day 6. Three Barred Rocks and three Brahmas are ALL fertile and developing nicely. Bonnie is on Day 12. She has 1 Brahma that was fertile and since I had to toss one quitter of the BRs, there are 3 remaining BRs under her.

Love your videos and your Brahmas! I really like the coloring on Bonny

Thanks, they are pretty and super sweet. Both girls are sweet broodies. Now, I'm getting nervous, both being first-timers. Some don't do well when that alien creature wiggles under them. I've seen a hen kill the first one that zips an egg. Bonnie is on Day 14 today, Brandy on Day 8.

ETA: Just found that Bailey's head wound is torn open again, geez! Bash has 3 girls in there now due to the other 2 being broody and I know Bailey tries to avoid him. I just checked her when I went to grab her to put her back inside-she didn't go with the others when I called them and yup, a it was torn open a little bit again, though not deep. So, Vetericyn and separation. Sigh. I am so OVER issues lately! I'm about to get rid of every rooster other than Atlas. My little 4 yr old bantam Cochin is dying, I think. My two Belgain D'Avner roosters are up in age (5 and 6 yrs old) so those won't be here much longer. I have two BR cockerels, one of my own line who is very sweet and not hard on the girls and Hector, who is a pistol, so energetic, he's very rambunctious. And 3 yr old Atlas and sweet Bash.

Only four days till Bonnie's hatch day! She has only one Brahma, but it's doing great along with three Barred Rock eggs from my young up and coming breeders. Brandy is on Day 14 Saturday. She has three BRs and three Brahmas, all were good at the last candling.

Bash is awesome. He likes to be petted. And he's filled out since he quit having to run from Bruno, too. I owe you guys some new pictures, don't I?

Well, here is who is left who isn't broody.

And the two broodies. Every one of Brandy's eggs, all six, are dancing on Day 12. All of Bonnie's are full of chick and should be getting into the air cell very soon.
