New Brahma Group: Blue Partridge x Partridge, Plus Dark

More of the little critters, who are 3 1/2 wks old. Camera has started acting up and taking blurry pictures, but I posted the best ones of the bunch. The first pic is the runt, almost certainly male. Those little ones usually are, but they've always caught up to the others by the time they're fully feathered.

Brandy is on Day 19 Monday with her six Partridge Brahma eggs. #7 was just not fertile or it did not develop, did not crack it open to see after candling.

Ha, sure thing! I have that hope going for myself over here too. 16 was enough, thank you. Although my AC breeders just started pumping eggs out so I'm sure at least one of them is going to go broody on me, sigh.

Moved these four week old chicks to another coop with their mom, Thea. Getting some chest feathers so sexing should be on the horizon.

Yes they are. I find it adorable the leg feathers are coming in before the body feathers. I call them street sweeper feet on my d'uccle and cochins. It gives them an adorable hop skipping way of running that makes me smile every time.
