New Brahma Group: Blue Partridge x Partridge, Plus Dark

Pics
More pics today of the 4 week olds and 8 week olds. The younger ones were apparently sunbathing and got a little "overcooked", so were panting their hearts out when I shooed them back into their pen at picture time.

Wow, look at those tall lanky older ones. No wonder they are hot with those big fuzzy slippers on.

These stunning partridge and blue partridge Brahma cockerels are still available, no bites on their sale other than the lady who got mad because I was a tad miffed that she stood me up three times and she stopped trying to get one. Geez. Orpingtons or Jersey Giants would be fine for them if someone doesn't have Brahmas and doesn't mind a cross.
One blue is med-dark blue, one is a sort of ice-blue shade, as you can see, both gorgeous. The straight partridge will probably be slightly larger than the blues, as is the norm for these. @brahmapapa
I'm still enjoying this bunch a lot!

The lighter blue reminds me of the shade of my Blue Rock, Alice. So pretty. But, I also love the deeper blue that is more like Bash.

Oh I'm in love with the lighter blue one! Gorgeous!

They are so impressive, I would have troubles picking one out, though that first blue one would be my choice.

They are both so handsome in their own way. The darker one is slightly larger than the lighter one. Both are very sweet. I hope someone gets them soon. I'm getting attached again.

Seems like all six of the younger group, plus the darker blue partridge male, are spoken for. As soon as Brandy is sick of her chicks, one trio goes to one customer and the other trio goes to the other customer, and the second customer, who already has Light Brahma hens, wants the darker blue partridge male as well. Let's hope both deals go through and I'll only have to find homes for the remaining three older cockerels.

The little kids. One pullet is still making me guess if she's partridge or blue partridge. I'm leaning to a blue.
The other three are clear what they are, which is a blue partridge pullet and two partridge pullets.

Blue? This gal is the one.

Partridge Male-he's a bold little critter, already acting like a rooster, protecting mama.

So, is she blue? Ack, I hate when it's not clear. Makes me think she's blue.

Definite partridge. And the really super dark pullet is another definite partridge. Did not take a photo of the definite blue partridge girl-she has a lot more visible blue on her.

Someone on my local FB bird group posted that they just lost most of their flock to someone else's dog. Of course, a bunch of people have jumped in saying that it's never okay to shoot a dog. You know, because it's someone's pet and they 'love' it.

I so badly want to say that if they love it so much they ought to be taking proper care of it, which includes keeping it on their own property where it won't get shot because it killed someone else's animals. If you let your dog run loose and it gets shot, it's no one's fault but your own for not taking proper care of your animal.
