The chicks have been in the little grow out coop for days now and are a week and a day old. I have one splash Partridge and one that is either a splash or very light blue partridge. With my luck, they'll both be male. Here is a video of them today, uploaded with my much faster high speed internet, less than 2 minutes rather than 3 hours!

As for my two broody Brahmas:

I removed one egg from Brandy's batch, leaving her five due Saturday. It was Betsy's and appeared to have begun growing but stopped early on. I also candled Bonnie's eggs on Day 10 today, removed one that was infertile, maybe B.J.'s. I tried to skip hers, but this one had speckles, which B.J.'s usually do not, so I wasn't sure if it was hers or Bailey's egg. That leaves Bonnie seven bouncing babies and they were bouncing, too!

Brandy has at least one pipped egg and two or three others of the five in the air cell. Today is Day 20 for her. And it appears I have a splash partridge pair among the chicks who are just over a week old. Not sure on actual number of male/female in there among the 11 Brahma chicks yet.

Because they are the bravest and the smartest, of course! They run to me first and stick out their chests and one in particular bites my hand, LOL. It's the BRs, plus the splash partridge Brahma pullet, who is a little butterball who always come to greet me. I'll have to keep that one for Bash if it's really a pullet, which I think it is.
