I've decided to get into a few color projects this year and do not want any chicks in the house. So my SO and I decided to make a giant brooder unit. It is almost 6 feet tall, 8 feet wide, 2 feet deep and has 6 individual brooder units (each approx 2 feet all, 2 feet deep and about 2.5 feet wide). All dividers will be removable so that you can either have the 6 individual pens or open them up to double or triple wide pens (1 per level obviously).
We have finished the major structure and doors.....we still need to create the removable dividers, and hang the heat lamps. We made it just tall enough to fit the feed tubs beneath it for storage.
