Hi,
I just adopted a new female Lion head bun due to my last bun passing from GI Stasis. I want to do as much as possible to avoid the same problem with my new girl. What can I do and what can I feed her to help prevent it from happening again? (She will be mainly an indoor rabbit) I am also open to any and all tips you might have about rabbits and keeping them from your prior experience and would love to see pictures if you have any rabbits.:D Also feel free to leave name suggestions!

The bulk of the diet should be hay to help avoid hairballs, and to keep stuff moving through the digestive tract. Also provide wood for chewing to keep the teeth short. Bad teeth will cause them to eat less or even stop which can lead to death.

Thank you! I also noticed when I pet her she is a little boney. Should I up her pellet intake for a week or 2 or just let her continue to eat hay? She is getting a 1/4 cup of pellets a day and unlimited hay.

How old is she? Mine like old fashioned oatmeal, and a pinch of black oil sunflower seeds as a treat. Both will help fatten them. A bit bony isn't bad. Better a bit light than chubby.
Is that uncooked oatmeal? I've never given it to my rabbit.
