New Buttons hatched (Pics Added)

Nice buttons! I've got 2 silvers (1 male and 1 female) and she doesn't lay any eggs yet. Her toe was injured when a hair wrapped around it (when she hopped out of the aquarium once) and I think that has slowed her down. THey are alone in 1 level of their cage. My 2 Chocolate or Normal blue breasted (?) are also a male and female and she has laid an egg every day or two.But her eye is injured now too, so no eggs in the last few days. Do they peck each other? Is that how the eyes get hurt? I noticed that she had a scab on her head near the ear too. Poor little thing. They live in the top section of the 3 level cage.My 6 Cinnamons (? not sure) are 2 males and 4 females and they are in the center section of the cage. I get about 3 eggs each day from them. They're all so cute, but not as people friendly as I wanted...oh well, if anyone wants any eggs, let me know. I don't use them for anything and I won't set anymore (probably.)

I think so... I have one like "new girl" and I haven't figured out what she is yet, either.

I'll let you know when I find out.
I have one girl that looks like your injured male... she hurt herself on the cage when I was cleaning out their cage, and I thought she was going to lose her eye. She's bounced back quite nicely, though, and I put her back in with the rest of the gang last night.

They do so much damage when they pop up... I need to build a new pen for them so they can pop up and not hit their heads!

I agree, I think I have to definitely get taller cages for them. This is the first time this has happened, but I dont like it. I thought his eye was pecked out but it was an injury to his head above the eye and the blood ran down and had the eye crusted shut. But it is getting better, I hope. Thanks for reassuring me on the colors. Let me know if you find out what that one new one is. She? is the only one I have like that. Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.

I'm pretty sure it's a "she" ... no white bib that I can see. No growling, or "PEW!" crowing, right?

Now I'm on a mission... I need to figure out what her coloring is called...

ya ship?? how much would you charge total (for shipping and eggs) if you do?? I'd love to take a stab at some new colors!

yep I will ship. I'd have to save up the eggs for a week and let you know, but they are so tiny, that I could ship them (however many) for $15 total to my paypal.
Just let me know?
Thanks

Thanks for the info. Looks like you are right on the new girl. And it makes sense being that my roo is red breasted too. And the babies do look like darth vadar but what is that exactly??? I will have to wait and see how they feather out for sure. Thanks again for the help.

I think it's interesting the different colors we get... I have a normal brown hen that crossed with a blue breasted male... I have 3 males that are blue like daddy, but have normal-brown feathers mixed in on their backs...

Go figure. But the cinnamons are soooooo pretty... I can just sit there and watch them for hours, looking at all the pretty colors.

I took this quote from zebrafinch.com (the breeder/importer who IMO is the most famous in the button quail world, they produced the Splash Button Quail, and have imported from over seas many of the colors we see and have today).
