New BYC Auction System - Want To Buy A Chicken (Just A Test)

As far as the number of listings, I hardly sell in the BST sections at all, but some people are more like "professional" hobby breeders. It is understandable that these people would want to have more auctions, which is why I think the GFMs should have a significantly higher number of auctions, to provide an option for those that sell more.

Also, is it possible to sign up to receive a notification when the item is going to end soon?

I LIKE that idea. I need reminders for everything.

I would prefer to have a BYCer call to chat and make sure I have it written on the back of my hand, but an electronic reminder would suffice.

I've been reading all these posts. All I hear are complaint after complaint.
HEY! What did you do before the BTS listings and before the auction was introduced? And before BYC was available? You'd sell them at the Flea Market or somewhere local.

The rules are meant for people like YOU who abuse the system.

These nice people are trying there best to please you people.

So STOP SQUAKEN and if you don't like what's being done here then I say don't post.

I agree but with one exception. If these people are professionals and what to have more placements then they should pay for the additional postings.
And since they are professionals then they can afford it. See how much it cost to run an ad in the newspaper. Everybody what something for nothing. E-bay charges but you can't sell living creatures on there. So maybe they would like to be charged for placing each item for auction.
Would that make them Happy?
Just my thoughts on the matter. Don't bash me now!

FYI - Breeding birds is a hobby. I can personally testify that those of us that do it on a larger scale do not make money on them. To this day, I still am not in the black and I never expect to be.

Well that might be true for you I'm sure. But my post was aimed toward the people that what everything for nothing and do all the complanting. I looked at your post and I did not see any complaints from you. Just some question and they all look like legitimate ones.
Sorry you took it personally.
And have a nice day, Please?

I'm not squawking. You were implying that people who breed on a larger scale have more money to spend on their auctions and I was pointing out that it isn't so.

You missed my point. It wasn't about charging money. It was that some complete if you gave them a million dollars and they wanted 2 million.
That was my intent and was only using that example to maybe open their eyes to the fact that BYC is a free forum and like all forum one must abide by the rules. And they need to stop completing about how unfair that they only have a limit to 16 post a month. And then try to bump their post to the top of the page all the time.
It is obvious you don't agree with what I said. But thats whats great about America. Freedom of speech. You got to Love It.

I think we're all on the same page. Lots of good feedback and questions posted.

Change is often hard for people, and without all the details we understand that some may not be sure what to expect, and that can make peeps nervous.

Keep your eyes peeled as we get closer to the launch. Remember, this is going to be version 1.0, and like all things BYC we'll be making improvements all along the way.
