New chick can't poop?

I have a new chick (turkey actually) about a week old. It seems very uncomfortable, pecking at its hind end, which looks very red & sore. It looks almost like its anus area is poking out ... The best way I can describe it. It's not pasty butt bc there is nothing stuck to it. I tried running warm water over it. I haven't seen him poop normally. He seems constipated? Please help, I don't want him to die!
