Good evening, I have 2 Americanas, 2 White Plymouth Rock, and 2 Barred Rock hens all sharing the same house. For some reason, one of the Barred Rock hen chicks shakes like its vibrating, and I'm guessing that she can't see too well. If the other chicks aren't close to her, she freaks out and gives an ear piercing chirp. I can almost put my hands around her before she realizes whats going on. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I'm in South Louisiana and its 86 outside at night, and in the 90's during the day, so I don't think she's cold. It's the uncontrollable shaking that scares me.

How do her eyes look? Is there any drainage or bubbles in eyes? Any sneezing? I would put some chick vitamins in their water in case of a vitamin A deficiency. There is a virus called avian encephalomyelitis (AE) that can cause tremors, falling on the side, and lameness, and it can also cause blindness later on. It shows up in chicks under 4 weeks old. How old is she?
