New Chickens not eating or drinking?

What did they eat at their previous location? Some hens prefer mash, they may not like the pellets or know it is food. My hens would not eat pellets, so I fed them layer mash and oyster shell free choice. I just adopted some point of lay hens in June. When I tried to feed them some fresh greens and fruit, they just looked at it like...e-e-e-w what the heck is that! Now, they are like piranhas; I have to push them back in order to fill the feeders with greens! It is only the first day, perhaps they will eat and drink tomorrow. They do get frightened and unsure of new environments and people. Just speak softly and be vigilant. Keep them separate from other poultry you may own, for a least two weeks. Check them for parasites internal and external.
How exciting, some new chickies! Best of luck!:wee
Ive already got a entire months worth of pellets left so should I just leave it a few days or try switching up the food?? Last time they were fed something called chook chow. But they were used to being around alot more chickens so I dont know if that affects it?

they pretty chickens. they scared cause they at new house! give time for them to relax. leave them alone for day so they can adjust ot new place.

u can show them food but they scared an feel safe in house.
chicken is curious so brave one will look see what goin on an other will follow.

Chook Chow? New Zealand? Be patient, wait and see how they are doing tomorrow. Chook chow is a mixture of whole and crushed grains. If they won't eat the pellets, you can buy a small amount of Chook Chow and mix some with the pellets. Decrease amount of Chook Chow till they are eating just pellets. No worries, they'll be OK. Sometimes you have to be creative when dealing with animals.

Is it normal for your chickens to not make a single noise? They havent made a single sound since they have moved. Seems weird to me
