Ordered 7 chicks from Ideal. 2 RR, 2 Buff Rocks, 1 Bared Rock, 1 Australorp, and 1 Ameraucana.
Chicks arrived in great shape at the post office and was surprised when I picked them up and had 11 additional Silver Laced Wyandotte roos as added "warmth". I thought maybe we'd get a couple of extras but not eleven! The boys will have to go!
In a week they have doubled in size and made their first trip into the back yard this weekend.
I have read a lot about what's an Ameraucana and what's not an Ameraucana and what's an EE. What we got looks like all of the chick pics I can find for silver Ameraucanas. Either way I really don't care. Not looking for trophies and ribbons. Looking for a great looking bird with cool colored eggs!
