Thank you for the advice, this is my first time hatching. I am terribly impatient too. I was so relieved to find byc. It has been a great help.

Awesome, ours are still in the brooder box. They almost have all their feathers, I'm hoping to put them in the coop next weekend.

Thank you! I know we went in today for garden stuff and I saw red sex links, I tried to convince hubby but he wouldn't let me get them.

I don't have a FB and that is probably a good thing since I don't think hub is letting me increase my chickens with how much I have planned for the garden right now.

I so want to try hatching. My DH might have a conniption fit right now though. I think he is afraid to come home from work (he's gone a couple of weeks at a time) to see what changes have occurred when he leaves. As it is, we will soon be in need of another coop (or two) if I were to get all the chicks I'd love to have. Sigh - guess I will have to wait. But, oh, I really want some quality Silkie eggs to try to hatch out and improve upon with breeding.

Awww! Congrats on the hatchlings! They look so healthy and so cute! I would actually love to have quail. I don't even know why! LOL I think for just eggs. Pickled quail eggs... yummmmm! I cannot even imagine turkeys! He'd fall over!
