new chicks

i just am trying to start over again..after having lost all my hens except 2 banty and 1 ri red rooster....bought 10 asstred chicks from the feed store...and have then secured i a pen 2 by 4 ft....the poor old rooster roams at day now and roosts on my front porch..the 2 remaining banty have taken refuge at night in my work shop...where i incidently pulled a rat snake out of 2 days ago...as for the pen ..coop i origionally had my chickens in..i have reinforced for later when the chicks grow up...they should be secure at night...at what age or size will they be able to let loose in there?

I wait until my birds are atleast 3 weeks before moving outside....
