new coop begun-two years later and we're still working on it

That is just beautiful. I think I'm going to have to check that out for my girls. It looks great. Have you painted it yet?

Thanks! I almost didn't recognize my own thread, it's bee so long! Embarrassingly enough, 9 months later it is still unpainted. That's on the list for this spring. It is nice and big and now houses 13 chickens and 7 ducks. There's still enough room for the 6 new chicks we got last week once they're big enough and feathered out more.

Glad I found this -- that it was resurrected. I bought a set of those connectors about a year ago and have done nothing with it. The design sort of scares me. But seeing your outcome inspires me. Thanks!

It's been a dream of my husband's to do something with one the kits. I'm so glad he did even if it isn't finished. The birds seem to like it too.

I'm glad I found this thread too.

I'll be ordering a kit in the next week or so. I love the unique design. I can't wait to build one.

Here's one from this past winter with the coop in the background. I'm looking for any others I have uploaded:

Nope, that's all I've got. I guess I got embarrassed that it still wasn't finished. I want to paint a sage green. I'd love barn red but in my neighborhood advertising a barn doesn't seem smart. Our neighbors tolerate the rooster and duck noises but I don't want to push it. I'd like to get some goats someday. I'd love to have a smaller version of the coop as a little goat barn. And another as a green house. Can't you just see a little village of these things in my half acre backyard??
