Great looking design--plenty of ventilation, tall enough to clean it without bumping your head against the rafters, and I am partial to real wood siding too. Will you be using wood shakes for the roof? I love that look--that's what we have on our 2 coops.

hencackle, No won't be using cedar shakes for roof. Just gonna go with asphalt shingles. I think I will like the contrast with them. Shake shingles will be , in my opinion...too much cedar. With the green accents, cedar and grey asphalt shingles I think it will look pretty good. Planned on working hard on it again today, but....after a long evening of friends over watching our Saints lose, not up to working on the coop today. On duty tomorrow, so back at it on Wed.
