New Corona, Covid-19 thread. Facts and Discussions - How It Affects you're Life & Poultry

Guess what was in the news in Eurooe today. :
In the US all chicks are sold out because many people are buying them now bc of Covid.

Numbers are getting better
In my country there still is a shortage of hospital beds /care because a lot of the boards and ICU beds are taken by corona patients. The numbers are decreasing slowly. Hospital care like cancer therapy and operations are being organised again for all urgent treatment. Within a couple of weeks they want to schedule all the people who need treatment for other diseases than Covid.
Yes chicks are flying out the door here
Glad it's getting better there

Here (NL) crèches and schools for children up to 12, open on 11 may. Researchers found that children rarely pass the virus to other children or adults.

There are less people with Corona in hospital every day. The are planning urgent treatments and operations in hospitals and health care centers again.

All events are cancelled until september.
Lots of things stay closed at least for another 3 weeks.

How are regulations in you’re country/county? Any changes coming up soon?

New Zealand has been 'locked down' for 4 weeks with only essential services such as supermarkets allowed to open. We will slightly ease restrictions this coming Tuesday. Businesses will have to operate in a contactless way. We only had 6 new cases yesterday and the number is steadily dropping. Our current rate of transfer is 0.48 which is very positive.

55% of cases have been due to contact with a known case.
39% of cases have been due to overseas travel.
4% of cases have been from community transfer (source unknown).
2% are still being investigated.

The number of cases here stands at 1,451.

Our death toll stands at 14 and all who have died have been over 70 years old. It unfortunately got into some aged care facilities.

Every disadvantage had its advantage*

This is a second MAN animation by Steve Cutts. Check out the previous one too.

Corona virus in mink on a Dutch farm

Translated by Google:
THE HAGUE - At two mink farms in the Brabant towns, animals have become infected with the new corona virus. This was reported by agriculture minister Carola Schouten. Measures have been taken on the farms and in the surrounding area. For example, it is advised not to walk or cycle within a radius of 400 meters around the companies.

And our government advises not to cuddle with cats and other pets if you think to might be infected.

Some of the states here in the US are attempting to open up and allow some less essential businesses to serve people on a supposed limited basis. And some coastal states have opened beaches, which of course people flocked to.
My state is still on strict stay at home orders (none of our beaches are open that I know of) and I think plan to keep the stay at home orders in place until June.

I'm thinking in about 2 or 3 weeks we are going to get an unpleasant answer as to whether allowing certain states to open up was a good idea or not since the trends here in the US (in some places) seem to still be going up.

I can't read it (not a subscriber) is the dog actually sick too?

I thought I remember hearing/reading like a month ago it had been found in a dog's nose, but the dog itself was fine. Not a host.
I'm not a subscriber either, for some reason it lets me see
