So disappointed from online shopping. The ceramic bulb is broken... it is cracked in half. I don't know if it is still safe to use on the chicks....

I wouldn't risk it. Do you have a pet store anywhere nearby? The reptile section should have a variety of bulb types you can use.

we don't have pet store nearby with reptile section. But will check if they have heat bulb no light emitted.
