Question:

What about a German shorthaired pointer?

A friend of mine came over and told us that’s what it looks like. We looked at pictures on the Internet, and there is a big similarity, except for the ears.

I was going to read the whole thread before commenting, but I agree, German shorthaired pointer was my first thought as well. But no, not pb. Wrong ears and head shape. Some Lab in there maybe? I love the name Charlie. He looks like a Charlie. I hope he's not scared of noises, Jared, he might make a great hunting companion for you. I highly recommend Richard A. Wolters' book Gun Dog for you. Good luck with him!

For those who don’t know what he means by this, I am a hunter. I mainly hunt big game, but I do waterfowl and upland birds on occasion.
