He seems to have the same response to both options. Sit, stare, odd tail twitch.

He knows he's landed on his feet! What are you going to name him?

No name yet, I've been calling him Skelepup/Skeletor(hence topic title, it's not me exxagerating his condition rather what I'm calling him atm - he's the skinniest pup I've ever seen first hand so to me it's a notable trait) but that's in passing. I've also been just calling him "Puppy" as I'm afraid of naming him and becoming attached because of that. If I get attached it has to be because he completely won me over. Just like I have trouble selling chickens I named, I wont. I assign them colours/numbers then pick the ones of the correct genders or ones I really like personally then give them names later. Like the rooster I kept named Peekaboo used to be called "Green".

Meh, I'm off today but will wait until Tuesday now because coworkers asked me to bring him in and see but the specific ones don't work today. More excuse to delay things.

That'd be awesome - do you mean Manchester Terrier? Another similar dog. What gets me is though whatever he is mixed with has large erect ears - he usually holds them up but they are still slightly too heavy so tend to flop at the very tips and most breeds I can think of have completely limp ears.

I don't know about Manchester terrier the terrier that I saw has the ears that stand up but fold over at the top. my dog has the beagle mix ears. But he is some kind of terrier mix I am sure of that. he is a keeper, I am sure, he would make some one a very loyal and loving dog. hope you find him his forever home.

that pup is not thin,,at his young age he looks about right,he is growing and no dog should be fat, especially not pups..I stand by large rat terrierX or large minpinX,,I had a minpin,an import from germany that went 25 lbs..

I just know I couldn't figure it out from the AKC webbie, they had something that was called Parson russell terrier but since they didn't list jack Russel and it looked exactly like one I presumed that not to be the dog you meant since he's defo not part jack Russel. None of that energy and has no clue how to even begin to jump up. He does climb up on me but his back feet never leave the ground, he just walks his front legs up on me(not that I'm tolerating it XD).

I guess this means he's heinz 57 just like his "sister" Farrah (who seems to have adopted him before I am willing to

My biggest issue right now is the cat. BIG cat. Able to take on bigger strays and even foxes and has done so in the past. Mose(the cat) greeted the pup by attempting to claw him in the face and now puppy is terrified of him. I've gotten him to ignore the cat instead of going nuts every time he sees him. But the cat STALKS him and constantly tries to look for reasons to intimidate and attack the pup. I have to carefully orchestrate walking him so I'm between him and cat at all times because he reverts to freaked out if I'm not or the cat will flat out charge him. What makes it harder is this cat only goes out to do his business and I chuck him out at night because, again, he keeps any and all preds away from my chickens. How the hell do you train a cat NOT to follow a newcomer closely for that split second he's got a clear run at it? Worse yet is he waits in the doorway so I HAVE to run into him with the pup to either get in or out. This cat is completely instigating everything but he's my baby boy and he has proven time and again he's reliable as a pred deterrent.

Paterdale terrier it is from England they have the marking like your and the same kind of ears. if they are not cropped at a young age I would go terrier mix of some kind the cat is just trying to let the new puppy know who's in charge lol the cat. I would give them some more time and I am sure the cat will adjust to the puppy just make sure the cat knows that you are the leader

and the pup stays the cat will get the point sooner or later I wish you luck that puppy is a cute doggie. and glad he found someone to care for him at least for now.

Mehhhhh fine. I'm sold. Especially now hearing he wont get that big. I'm sure Mosey will come around, he treated Farrah the same when I first brought her home. There's just no easy fix with cats just time and hoping they'll realize this thing isn't going away just because they want it to and ahahaha as much as he seems to think he's a dog that doesn't work on him XD I'd be amazed seeing someone teach a cat to sit on command let alone, sit and wait. XD

Yea my son has a cat who thinks he is border control he has chased all the Ferrel cats off (thank goodness) and also keeps the mice and rats outside down but he goes for a walk a couple of times around a couple of blocks in each direction to keep things safe he is so funny he is almost all black with a little white so we keep him in the house for most of October just to protect him due to all the stories of black cats he hates it but it is for his own good but he doesn't think it is fair and he lets me know when he attacks my feet at night. I think the dog will make a great pet it seems the ones that are left out in the cold know when they have a great thing all my dogs are rescue animals and they seem grateful to have a home. I am sure your cat will adjust as soon as the cat puts the dog in his place.

Any name suggestions? I was just thinking of Bear, but I used it before with a dog that did not work out and am afraid of jinxing it. Love the name for a dog but the universe already told me a dog named Bear is not in my cards. ;D
