New Dog - Skelepup stray

No ones missing him. Whoever he belonged to thought little enough of him to tie him up with rope outside our gate with absolutely nothing. According to my brother anyway and he's not one for lying to me about this kind of stuff. He even gave the pup a bath for me before I got home(which is why he looks clean). His place just is carpeted and mine is tile throughout and he told me he figured I'd know what was best for it.

As for teeth....

Pearlie white and where his his left canine seems to be coming in looks irritated to heck.

Yep you have a puppy about five months old. He's not a Doberman mix he's some kind of terrier mix, could also be Miniature Pinscher. He's not GSD or Rottie either. At 15 pounds and five months old you can expect him to weigh about 20-25 pounds full grown. Maybe slightly larger.

five months eh? At least I was close there XD

and hmm... great... that helps me a ton really cause now I'm very very tempted. I DID want a bigger dog than Farrah (who is the same size as he is right now @ about 20 ibs. She's slightly bigger than he is though but a year older) but not a huge 100+ ib dog which can't fit in this place. Ever. It's hard enough keeping the cat from murdering this guy without him murdering the cat back.

poor thing... some people...

it's hard to tell from the original photo, but it doesn't look like he has big enough front paws or gangly enough legs to become a really big dog. i'd agree with the comment above

good luck with him! i'm glad he found someone who cares.

He seems to have the same response to both options. Sit, stare, odd tail twitch.

Yesss yesss right therrree

He might be a *little* on the thin side.....but not terribly....nothing to be concerned about anyway. Doesn't look thin enough to have been stunted at all. Hard to say his mix...probably a little pitt.....but beyond that.... **shrug**

He looks like my dog and my dog is a beagle and Padetel terrier (sp) a lot of dogs have the markings like dobbies and rotties so can't go by markings but if he is like my dog who is going on 10 years old this year he won't get over 25-30lbs and mine is a great dog tell him that something is a baby and he will guard it from everything. I hope you keep the dog or at least fine him a great home he looks like a great dog just needs the right human. good luck he is a cutie. if you want I will find a picture of my dog and post it if you want.

That'd be awesome - do you mean Manchester Terrier? Another similar dog. What gets me is though whatever he is mixed with has large erect ears - he usually holds them up but they are still slightly too heavy so tend to flop at the very tips and most breeds I can think of have completely limp ears.
