New duckling! Help?

Pics
@WVduckchick lol no worries! Yah I know how loud the females can be. Billy is VERY loud when she wants to be

@CayugaJana In that case I'd send you a video but she really only does her loud ear piercing peep when we walk away from her and she's alone. Not sure how I'd film that!

@ViolinPlayer123 Well here's to hoping it's a girl :fl

@onaharley shes actually here right now!

So guys another question regarding Sunni: We have a heat lamp for her but I don't think she needs it? She gets REALLY hot with the heat lamp on and even starts panting sometimes and it's not even right over her box. So last night we decided to turn it off completely because it doesn't seem to do her any good. It doesn't get below 78 degrees in our house at any time... does she need the lamp?

Is your brooder big enough that she can move away from the heat if you put it to one side? If she's panting she is getting too hot. If it's 78 inside she may well not need it at all but wait and see what miss Lydia says :)

@Miss Lydia shes about a month old. Already has some feathers growing

@shawluvsbirds ut is big enough and we keep the heat lamp about a foot away from her actual cage and she still is always on the opposite side away from t and panting
