New duckling! Help?

@ViolinPlayer123 its a one temperature heat lamp but that’s why I wanted to ask. We live in Arizona... and despite it being fall it still gets around 90 degrees outside. We never put our AC on below 78. When our chickens were little as well as Billy and Mochi it was February and very cold outside so they always had the heat lamp on. But with it so hot out and not cold in here I didn’t think she’d need it? She’s not a tiny baby either

Just raise the heat lamp higher to make it cooler. She should be in about 80-85 degree weather right now.

@Miss Lydia I think for now I’ll just keep an eye on her and see how she does? Like I said I have yet to see her shiver or anything and every time we put the heat lamp on she pants and get really really hot

As my baby duckies grew, I kept putting in larger pans... eventually, the largest roasting pan I had became their water dish when they were inside. And their indoor shower and tub and pool. My duckies loved being in the water! (They still do - now they have their own pool.)
