New duckling! Help?

Tbis ia a pic of a dish that we use in the brooder for all our ducks.... IMAG2681.jpg ...ya can see where the corner has been cut out of the lid....they can get their head in and it helps to keep them from slinging water everywhere...they still make a wet spot, but it doesn't make near as big a mess....ya may have to experiment some with the size ya need and make it larger as it grows. A large butter dish, cool whip, or any large plastic container with a lid will work. Tupperware is expensive, so I'd get something that is usually tossed away anyway.....:)

The one we have in a brooder right now has graduated to a gallon jug with the hole just above the half-way mark. We named him Soli because he is the only one that hatched...he is about 6wks old rigbt now and is a Rouen drake....he is starting to get some of his green bead feathers in, and we will probably put him with the flock in a couple more wks....:)

Best wishes to you and your Feathered puppies....

Little duckling update: She's now eating and drinking out of her containers! She's super cuddly and LOVES to bite/nibble on everything. We gave her a stuffed animal, it doesn't scare her at all and as soon as we put it near her she went straight for its eyes. We thought Killer would be a good name lol... But we named her Sunny!
