@onaharley here’s our set up. We used to let them roam in the yard as well but after they are all the grass and ruined it we keep hem in the run now. You can see the two blue tubs we use for the ducks so they can splash around and we keep their food in the coop. Ducks sleep on the bottom of the coop obviously

Behind your coop, up against the brick wall, could you build an extension to the coop? From what I can see you would only need to build two walls. It looks like your coop is under an awning so Sunni would covered....if you can get some free plates it could cut down on cost?

@onaharley absolutely not there. We find lots of scorpions in those walls and especially in that corner where there’s lots of places to hide. Also it’s not really a lot of space, Billy can barely walk back there and she’s small enough as it is. It would probably have to be an extension across the yard and we’d have to build a coop from scratch

Oh I see.... well I do know that people have built entire coops by getting scrap wood from like construction sites. If you are the type of person that can do that.......I'm not sure I could but I know my DH could and has! Lol

@onaharley wellni definitely cannot build a coop lol I am only a 19 year old with absolutely 0 experience in building. But my grandfather and father can do it with no problem :D
Well since your 19 I will give this piece advice, there is nothing in this life that you can't do! And don't let anyone tell you otherwise. In this day in age there is nothing you can't google or you tube to show you how. If you have your dad and grandfather that can do things like build a coop, learn from them! Plus it's great bonding time and you'll treasure it one day:)
