New Ebay Payment Policy for Hatching Eggs

Found out the hard way that Ebay has changed their payment policy for hatching eggs listings. We can no longer accept any other payment method but Paypal. Went into effect Jan 15, 2009.

That seems like it would put a crimp into those selling eggs....

Well but if you pay by Paypal and don't get what you were suppose to then paypal will refund your money. Other payment methods and there is nothing they can do but ask the seller to refund your $$$. I support the change!

It's not really that great of a thing.

If someone buys eggs from you and has a crappy hatch due to circumstances beyond your control then Paypal will give them their money back out of your account.

Yep, they'll give them a refund even if they get a 90% hatch and aren't happy with it

If your Paypal account is empty, they'll take it right out of your bank account, even the shipping, and too bad if they overdraw it.

It's not just for hatching eggs. It's a new eBay policy all the way around. Any and all eBay sellers may now ONLY accept payments via paypal.

It's only so they can collect more money. The same people who own eBay own paypal, so they get paid twice on every transaction this way!

I hate ebay anyway. Too many fees and stupid regulations. It is all about them being greedy is the biggest reason for the change. That way they can take a second fee out of your paypal payment (they own paypal) where as they can't if you get a money order.
