They have already closed most of the fabric departments in the Walmarts around here. Our local Walmart still carries some .... but very very little. It will soon all be gone, too.

is there something online to get fabrics from? my walmart fabric center is gone. no 1 dollar a yard anymore its a dollar for a 12 inch square. those fabrics are beautiful btw.

I really hate that about Walmart too, when Ellijay remodeled they done away with the fabric also. I can understand Walmart not having fabric in the city stores but in our small town we really need them! I will shop the quilt store in Blue Ridge when she has a sale or in the back where the clearance fabric and discounted fat quarters are.

Our Walmart up here still has their fabric department. I haven't heard about them getting rid of it, I think I'll ask. I get most of my fabric at Joann Fabrics and Crafts though because they're less than Walmart for the most part. Especially when it's on sale. Love those coupons!

The only other place to do around here is in Cleveland, TN, at the Hobby Lobby. That's just over an hour from me so no quick trips. I was just in the quilt shop in Blue Ridge (the larger one closed down, sadly) and I can't pay almost $10/yd.
