new family member

OK here is the new family member a pretty black female duck we have named Ebony- I know she is a female because my mallard mix loves doing the " dirty duck deed" with her daily.

The problem is can any one please give me an idea what breed of duck she is?
also if she and Frodo keep doing the " deed " when will see lay eggs? I would love baby ducks just not in the middle of winter LOL
any help you can give would be great thanks.

I can't really see her very well, but I am going to venture a guess that she is a black cayagua. But thats just a guess.

Thank you for the help trying to guess what breed Ebony is - would it help if I try and get better pics of her?
I can tell you that she has a purpleish color to the tips of her wings, I know that she is a female but dont know how old she is. My mallard mix and her have been doing the " duck deed" daily so any idea" onwhen she will lay eggs? I really dont want baby ducks born this close to fall ( i am afraid they will get to cold once winter gets here).
I will try and get more pictures soon
