I am curious why you feel the need to separate your non layers? Older hens are often peace keepers in flocks and help keep younger chickens in line. Breeding coops being separate makes sense, but personally I would have one main coop, one smaller attached coop and run for integration of new/young birds, and your breeding coops. Just a thought
