New Feature - Forum Category Thread Lists

We're happy to announce a great little feature that should make a big difference!

Before the conversion to the new platform we asked all our members which pages they most frequently had bookmarked for BYC:
Official BYC Poll - Which BYC Page Do You Bookmark?



The top answers:

• Forum index
• BYC homepage
• Recent Posts list
• ... and a bunch of others!

We've also received a lot of feedback about the "recent posts / topics" list. One of the most common requests: "Can you filter out xy from the list of recent topics?"

Well, it would be impossible for us to filter out specific topics for everyone based on their own preferences, so we think we have the next best thing!

You can now directly navigate to the forum category of your choosing and see all the recent topics for that whole section!

Here are where you can find the forum categories to which you can click:



For example, you could click on Chicken Breeds and below the sub-forums you'll now see a list of all the recent topics for that entire category!

Maybe all you want to see is recent topics in the Raising BackYard Chickens? You can now click into that category and you'll see all the recent topics in that section!

If I'm understanding you.
It does that in the individual forums as well.

Say, if I'm in feeding & watering your flock and I click on new posts. It only shows me new posts in the "feeding" forum.

To get back to seeing new posts in all the forums I have to go either place here-

One thing with this platform is that there are often multiple ways of doing the same thing. This makes it nice because each person can chose the way that they like best.
