So i'm looking at getting 12 chicks this spring and was wondering what some thoughts were on the different breeds especially for the cold michigan winters.
Looking at some Red stars, Black stars, Marrans, Rhode Island Reds, and Wyandottes.
The coop is about 50ish square feet has insulated walls and a heating element, hasn't been real cold yet to see how warm it will keep it inside.
Any info on being cold hardy, egg production and temperment would be greatly appreciated.
