haha yep, I am keeping a solid black frizzle, but just ran out of room to keep them all lol. I wasn't thinking and gave the mottled female to a friend and I am kicking myself for doing it lol. And i am keeping the marans hen even though she is listed in original ad. oh well maybe someday when i build a little barn I can keep all the chicks i hatch or buy lol- just got ahead of my coop size when i started out the year - it's soooo easy to do! I never realized how addictive chickens are !

Does anyone know what the time frame is for the swap meet at TS in Littleton? I'm getting 2 hen & 1 cockerel Sizzles today at noon! Whoopieeeeeee!!!!!!!!
But on a sadder note, a hawk had my RIR for a little late night snack! I was so hoping it fell and was OK, but this morning she didn't come to my steeps for some BOSS.
The girls do that in the daytime and they love it when I'm nice!
Yes, I do LOCK them up at night. I knew she wasn't in a corner cuz I could see by the light of the moon last night that there was only 1 RIR is the coop.
I went arnd the property as much as I can, calling for her but she never came. One night a raccoon came into their coop and the girls were going crazy so DD heard that and ran out to see what was happening. When he opened the gate they flew out trying to get away. He got it! Anyway they spent 2 1/2 hr's trying to get them back and got some. In the morning I let the dogs out and they came running looking for their treat and I'm like what the heck! I knew I locked them up! But it all happened at 9:10 and I was out of it, sound asleep and DD just ran out w/o taking a moment to speak so imagine my surprise that moring!
To all of those going to the swap, good luck and enjoy! Let me know how it went, and if you met anyone from the Gorham area I would love to meet them! Even on BYC's!!!!

Sorry, I know I said I would post a time, I had gone and talked to them and they said that there was only one person they knew of that was coming with a duck. I did hear today that there was not a good turnout.
