One of my new chickens hatched a few hours ago in the incubator...she keeps biting at her feet. Im afraid she is going to bring blood, she bites so hard..should I be concerned?

Welcome to BYC!

She could be biting her feet from stress. Can you get her out of the incubator and into the brooder? This may help stop her from biting at herself. I have never heard of this before, so I am not really sure what you can do if she does not quit. Make sure she has something to drink first and get her to start eating and see if this doesn't help. Are there other chicks hatching or to be hatched?

Good luck with this problem. Keep us posted!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! X2 what TwoCrows said, I would try to get her out, new ones will sometimes peck at or bite at other chicks, but usually not on themselves.

Have you checked her feet well to see if there is a reason for her biting them? Lice, mites, or ???

you could try some diversion like giving her a small stuffed animal to cuddle up with or bite instead.
A small mirror, so she thinks there are other chicks around.
